Between July 25 and August 5, 2022, the National Integrity Authority initiated six control procedures, four on the legal regime of assets and personal interests where two prosecutors, a civil servant with special status from the Ministry of Interior Affairs and a district councilor are targeted. An ex-member of the Court of Accounts and a director of a district high school are targeted in the investigations into the legal regime of conflicts of interest.
Six violations were identified by integrity inspectors. Thus, in three acts if findings the integrity inspectors established of conflicts of interest and in other three acts if findings – were established violation of the legal regime of the declaration of property. The acts are published on the institution's official website.
The integrity inspectors also initiated 9 contravention cases. On the aspect of not submitting declarations of assets and personal interests, a Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health was targeted. Seven councilors of the local public administration were targeted for not declaring conflicts of interest regarding another councilor.
Ten minutes were drawn up regarding the contravention by which fines totaling more than 18,000 lei were imposed. The subjects of the declaration were sanctioned for not submitting or late submission of declarations of personal interests and for not declaring and resolving conflicts of interest.
The legal department attended 10 court hearings. ANI representatives organized training for 36 subjects of the declaration, distributing around 100 informative materials and granted 112 telephone consultations, including 18 calls to the institutional Information Line.
The integrity inspectors resolved four conflicts of interest. ANI issued 21 Certificates of Integrity.
