Between August 8 and 19, 2022, the National Integrity Authority (ANI) drew up five reports regarding the contravention, on the basis of which fines were applied in the total amount of 14,500 lei. Thus, for not submitting the declaration of assets and personal interests, a public official with a special status from the Ministry of Interior was sanctioned with a fine of 4000 lei. A state secretary of the Ministry of Health and two ex-local councilors from the municipality of Chisinau and from the district of Glodeni were fined with 3000 lei. A local councilor from the Șoldăneşti district was fined with 1500 lei for late submission of asset declarations.
Three contravention cases were initiated against two councilors from the Dondușeni district and one councilor from the Soldănești district for the late submission of the declaration of assets and personal interests. Two contravention cases were initiated against two councilors from Căușeni and Cantemir districts for not submitting the declaration of assets and personal interests. A contravention case was initiated against a preschool principal from the Florești district for not declaring the conflict of interest.
During the reference period, the integrity inspectors established two violations of the special legislation of ANI. Thus, an ex-mayor from the Anenii Noi district was found to have a conflict of interest. The National Anticorruption Center was notified regarding the violations established by a preschool principal from the Briceni district.
Also, the integrity inspectors initiated three control procedures on the legal regime of property regarding an ex-director of a state institution and two civil servants with special status within the Ministry of Interior. A control procedure on the legal regime of conflicts of interest was initiated regarding a councilor from Hîncești district.
ANI representatives conducted 5 trainings for 293 subjects of the declaration of assets and personal interests and provided telephone consultations on 140 calls, including 35 - to the Institutional Information Line.
The legal department of ANI participated in 10 court hearings. ANI resolved 3 conflicts of interest and issued 19 Certificates of Integrity.
